Ayn Rand Centre UK debate – The Welfare State: Good or Bad? Yaron Brook with Greg Scorzo

Chair Ayn Rand Institute

Greg Scorzo was invited by the Ayn Rand Centre UK to debate Yaron Brook on the moral case for a Welfare State as part of a series of debates with Yaron.

Yaron Brook (Hebrew: ירון ברוק‎; born May 23, 1961)[1] is an Israeli-American entrepreneur, writer, and activist. He is an Objectivist and the current chairman of the board at the Ayn Rand Institute, where he was executive director from 2000 to 2017. He is also the co-founder of BH Equity Research and the author of several books, in which he analyzes a variety of topics from an Objectivist perspective.

“A fast-moving, extremely civil debate, well worth the time. The evil of self-abasing jobs versus the freedom to control your own life. Interesting that both sides say they support capitalism, yet are so different. “Yaron Debates Europe” series, Tuesdays 2 p.m. EDT. Thank you, Greg, for participating”

“This is a very interesting debate, and practical in my day to day life because most somewhat reasonable people I know in real life have a view that would be more in line with Greg’s view rather than the views of people who think capitalism is evil and socialism is the way to go. Great and respectfull debate!”
